It was RESOLVED to accept the audited statement of accounts for the year 2017-18 as prepared by D.C.Sri Hari & Co.
Appointment of Auditors:
D.C.Sri Hari & Co was appointed as Auditors of ANBAI for the financial year March 2018 to April 2019.
Next Meeting date
The next Governing Council meeting is scheduled to be held at New Delhi in 2019.
DNB Alumni and Teachers committee
DNB Alumni and Teachers committee which was formed under the aegis of ANBAI to provide a unified voice of DNB graduates across the nation, currently has 330 members who have registered for Alumni membership from all over India.
Academic Report
The academic report was presented by Dr. Nagendra Swam highlighting the webinars to be held initially for basic sciences then for clinical subjects. The state chapters shall be encouraged to hold CME and other academic activities in their respective states.
Bank Account
It was resolved to close the State Bank of Mysore account of Andhra Pradesh and the balance money to be deposited in the main ANBAI account. Each State chapters can seek permission from the Governing Council and then start an ANBAI bank account at the state level.
State Chapters
The Tamil Nadu Chapter President Dr. Manivannan expressed his inability to continue, so the general body authorized the ANBAI Governing Council to nominate another suitable person.
Annual Institution Membership
The general body agreed that the ANBAI annual fees of Rs 1000/course/year should be paid by all members. ANBAI will facilitate grievance redressal of member hospitals only.
Plan of action
The plan of action for the coming year include the focus on Membership drive especially for alumni, strengthening academic activities at State Level, expanding Uniform Learning Resource, liaising with NBE, liaising with Government for parity of NBE & MCI courses and to take postgraduate medical education to international standards. There are two new activities planned for next year. One is to explore whether a Professional Ethics course can be started with National Law University Bangalore. ANBAI has facilitated the starting of first off-site course of PGDMLE at CMC Vellore. Second is the effort to promote environment- friendly initiatives through hospitals with PHFI and AHPI.
